Dallas Cowboy Saves His Ranch With Online Business by Richard Cannon

My name is Richard Cannon. Born and raised in Texas you might think I was inclined to become a cowboy. Little did I know, being raised in Dallas, cowboys really did exist. Today I do own my own horse ranch, and this story will wind up telling you how SiteSell helped me save it and create happiness as a web designer and consultant to pay for it. To give you a hint, it's the story of how $50 and faith in simple words earned me $40,000 and a new start, after 9 years of "going it alone." I began working at age 12, determined to make my own way and escape. To where, was just recently revealed to me, much to my surprise. Junior high drafting class took me to becoming a 36 year engineering - municipal government worker. My last gig was designing and operating water systems. That led to the use of PC's for automation in 1994, and Champion Promotions was born the minute I discovered the Internet. Total lack of satisfaction at work, a basic nowhere job even after all the years of dedication, began to take a twist as I approached the "top of the ladder." I discovered that was not good enough for me because it had limits. That explains where I was trying to escape to, Independence. The harder I worked at Independence the less I got done. I searched web sites for answers, found junk. In 2003, who remembers how, I stumbled on SBI. Seems they were willing to pay me to sell their product at a fair profit for me. With 9 years of web design experience under my belt I studied SiteSell for quite some time before I bought SiteBuildIt!. Out of total need for competition, I vowed to try this CTPM thing and ignore what I thought I knew already to give it a fair chance. It beat me. Now I sell it, design totally around it, and tell every customer about SiteSell. And the $50 that made me $40,000? A simple, well placed advertisement which leads people to my website, where we convert visitors to clients. That came after 9 years of struggling, saying I know how to do this, I don't need instructions. Sort of like men don't use maps ;-). Turns out all you have to do to succeed is identify the road you want to travel. Hmmm, I guess that would be a "success map" wouldn't it? Ken Evoy's ideas, CTPM and SiteSell support did not actually "do" it for me. My team did. I bring that up because Ken's team will not do the work for you. They will give you the best "success map" you will ever find your way with. They even include the vehicle. But, as Ken says, "It's your business, you do the driving." Exactly how SiteBuildIt! saved my ranch. In the last 2 years I made more money than all those other 9 years. What's my "secret"? There is no secret because Ken gives the plan away to anyone willing to try... the SBI! Action Guide. Helping SBI'ers and web design/consulting is the only job I have now and I am Independently owned and operated. If SBI were not successful, I doubt I would be myself, yet. 
If you want to be successful, please consider what my father said... "work with your head and not your hands, you'll make more money." At 12 years old I wanted to escape spankings too. Trouble is you never will if you don't listen! Long after Dad is gone, the Action Guide and CTPM principals keep me in line. Now I am replacing my income, working from home, enjoying this view from my home office window every morning. See that small dot in the horizon center? The source for our wireless internet service out here in the sticks! My family is part of the team here. In fact, my team is comprised of SBI'ers. What began as a client/coach relationship has now become a strong SBI! work force. The SBI web site has a famous quote: "if you fail to plan you plan to fail." Simple, yet such a reminder. The biggest mistake I made along the way was thinking I knew the Action Guide front to back before I read it. Best advice, read it again and again. It does not apply only to web sites, it can literally show you talents you did not know you had. Don't skip anything thinking you can do it better alone. Do not re-invent the wheel. My father worked hard, too hard really, and now I know why. If I can convince you of only one thing, let it be this. When you do what you enjoy most, life offers a total different view, and that to get rich quick is an un-reasonable dream. By realizing what is real and doable, I have earned happiness as an Independent worker and the abilities to help people earn a living. When I started business in 1994, I did feel alone in my beliefs of what works out here and what does not. Because the Web was a sea churning with people selling junk, still is. But once in a while, there's a buoy out here in these waters. Use SBI to create a work at home business whether it's part time, full time, or for extra money we can all use. If you do it right, it just may be the only "job" you need too. 
What I have learned and done, SBI! was the catalyst, the support if you will, the chance, the opportunity.
